The hamlet of Unterufhausen belongs to the Hessian market town of Eiterfeld in the northern part of the Fulda district .

The river Sauer flows through Unterufhausen .

history

In 1346 the place was in a document of the Fulda abbot Heinrich VI. mentioned by Hohenberg . Unterufhausen came with Oberufhausen to the Oberamt Fürsteneck of the Fulda monastery.

Ufhausen was created on April 1, 1958 through the merger of the larger municipality of Oberufhausen with the smaller Unterufhausen.
