Branders
Branders is a hamlet in the municipality of Eiterfeld in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda . The place is about one kilometer northeast of Buchenau on a hill and can be reached via the 153 district road.
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1582 in the files of the Fulda Hospital Office.
For a long time Branders belonged to the Buchenau court of the Lords of Buchenau. It was under the manorial power of the Fulda Abbey and included Buchenau, Bodes , Branders, Erdmannrode , Fischbach , Giesenhain and Soislieden .
Branders came to Eiterfeld in 1972 as part of the formerly independent municipality of Buchenau.
