Ufhausen is a district of the market town of Eiterfeld in the Hessian district of Fulda .

Geographical location

The district of Ufhausen is about four and a half kilometers from the main town of Eiterfeld and is located east of it with the two suburbs of Oberufhausen and Unterufhausen in the valley system of the upper Taft in the Rhön . Oberufhausen is about one kilometer west of Unterufhausen.

history

Ufhausen was created on April 1, 1958 through the merger of the larger municipality of Oberufhausen with the smaller Unterufhausen.

At the regional end of the regional reform in Hesse , the last small communities like Ufhausen lost their independence by law. With effect from August 1, 1972, the communities Buchenau, Leimbach, Mengers, Ufhausen and Wölf were incorporated into the community Eiterfeld in the district of Hünfeld , which was also merged with the district of Fulda to form a district called the district of Fulda . In it, the previously independent city of Fulda became the district town .

Transport and infrastructure

The state road 3380 runs through Oberufhausen as a connection between the core town of Eiterfeld and Mansbach . District road 158 crosses east of the through-town and leads south to Unterufhausen.
