In the run-up to the territorial reform in Hesse , a number of voluntary amalgamations of municipalities arose, in which the previously independent municipality of Treischfeld also participated. The state government then decided, with effect from February 1, 1971, to merge the communities of Arzell, Betzenrod, Eiterfeld, Großentaft, Körnbach, Soisdorf and Treischfeld in the district of Hünfeld to form a community with the name Eiterfeld .

traffic

The state road 3173 runs through Treischfeld as part of the road connection from Hünfeld to Philippsthal (Werra) . Treischfeld is located on the former Hünfeld – Wenigentaft-Mansbach railway , today's skittles cycle path .
