The nature reserve Unterwassermatten lies in the area of ​​the communities Hohberg , Neuried and Schutterwald in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg .

The area extends southwest of the core town of Schutterwald along the Tieflach Canal . The state road L 99 runs through it in the northern part , the A5 runs to the east .
