Uwe Serdält

Uwe Serdülle (* 1967 ) is a Swiss political scientist with a background in computer science .

Life, job

After graduation (type E, economics ) at the Gymnasium Neufeld in Bern studied Serdült history , political science and computer science at the University of Zurich (UZH) and Geneva (Uni GE), where he also at the University of Zurich doctorate in political science and assistant and postdoctoral (was UZH , Uni GE). Research stays and teaching assignments at the University of Pittsburgh (1999–2000), Waseda University in Tokyo (2002–2003), Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto (Rits / Ritsumei, 2011), PU Krakau (2013–2014), University of Graz (2015 ) and Andrassy University in Budapest (2016), teaching assignments at the University of GE (2006, 2010), the UZH (2007–2014) and the ETH Zurich (ETHZ, 2007–2014) as well as senior researcher and lecturer at the Center for Democracy Aarau ( ZDA , 2007-2017).

From 2017 dual position as professor at the Rits and management of e-democracy projects at the ZDA . His professional interest is interdisciplinary research and teaching in various areas of the digital society ( e-society ). In the field of digital democracy (e-democracy), he is particularly interested in internet-based platforms and tools for citizens ( e-participation , e-voting ) and public administrations ( e-government ), furthermore in direct democracy , their and other decision-making processes, Institutions and Comparative Politics.

His mother tongue is German, fluent in English and French, he also works in Italian and Spanish.

Trivia

He was passionate about basketball.
