The Vöhlinstadion (also Vöhlin Stadium or Vöhlin Stadium ) is a football stadium with athletics track in the Bavarian town of Illertissen in Neu-Ulm . The facility is owned by the city and the football club FV Illertissen plays its games here.

history

The Vöhlin Stadium was built in the 1970s by the city of Illertissen and named after the former Vöhlin family.

The games of the regional league team FV Illertissen as part of the DFB Cup 2013/14 and 2014/15 were not played in Illertissen, but in the Danube Stadium in Ulm due to the DFB's requirements for the venue . Since the Vöhlin Stadium in its current state does not meet the requirements of the DFB for the 3rd soccer league , the club could not apply for a corresponding license in the past.

location

The stadium is part of the Nautilla sports center , which includes other football fields and sports facilities. It is located in the west of the city on the road to Dietenheim ( Baden-Wuerttemberg ) and is adjacent to the water park Nautilla , the high school College of the Christian Brothers and the John-of-La-Salle - junior high school far from Iller and Illerkanal .
