Anna Vanessa Hegelmaier (born June 18, 1987 in Stadthagen , Lower Saxony ) is a German model .

Life

Hegelmaier lived in Bochum until she was 7 years old . After graduating from the Ratsgymnasium Stadthagen , she began studying mathematics at Bielefeld University , which she completed with a bachelor's degree. In addition to her modeling career, she is studying special education in the master’s degree and is completing a distance learning course in business mathematics . She has been studying medicine since 2013.

Career

In 2008, Hegelmaier took part in the third season of the casting show Germany's Next Top Model and came in 9th place. After suffering a concussion from a fall while filming , she had to give up. Following the broadcast, she initially resumed her studies.

In 2009, following an unsolicited application , she was signed by her mother agency, Place . Later she was also included in their model files by other international model agencies such as IMG Models .

The Vogue counted Hegelmaier in the spring / summer 2010 season as one of the eight best newcomer models.

She was the advertising face for campaigns for various brands, including DKNY , Esprit and Swarovski .

In May 2009 she was on the cover of Austrian Flair . In Germany she was on the cover of Zeitmagazin in June 2010 and on the cover of Max in September 2012 .

She was also used for photo series for renowned magazines, for example for the English and Greek Vogue, the American Marie Claire , the Italian Amica , the English Elle and the English edition of Harper's Bazaar .

She ran at fashion shows in various important fashion cities such as London , Milan , New York and Paris for well-known designers and labels.
