Vanja Rupena

Vanja Rupena (born April 18, 1978 in Koper , Slovenia ) is a Croatian model . She was Miss Croatia in 1996 .

Life

Rupena grew up in Umag , where her family comes from. She lives continuously in Umag and Milan .

Career

Rupena was named Miss Croatia 1996 in Zagreb in 1996 and took part in the Miss World election in Bangalore for Croatia . Since then she has mainly worked as a model.

Client

Rupena has graced the covers of the world's most famous magazines, including Marie Claire , Cosmopolitan , Harper's Bazaar , Vogue and Elle . She made advertising for Rado , Illy , Gran Pavesi , Golden Lady , Lepel , Les Tropeziennes , Liberty , Valery , Fila , Breil Watches , Físico and Michael Kors , among others . She ran for various designers such as Roberto Cavalli , Valentino Garavani , Laura Biagiotti , Extè and Rosa Cha .

Rupena is currently the most internationally known model from Croatia.

Hrvatski top model

Rupena achieved an even higher level of awareness by hosting the second season of the talent show Hrvatski Top Model , the Croatian version of America's Next Top Model . Tatjana Jurić moderated the first season . The second season with Vanja Rupena was broadcast from September to November 2010 on the Croatian TV channel RTL Televizija . Rupena worked alongside star stylist Saša Joka and designer Tihana Harapin Zalepugin as chief judge. The winner was 20-year-old Rafaela Franić from Trogir . After the second season, the show was discontinued.

Rupena was a guest on the TV show Ciao Darwin in 2008 and was invited several times by Piero Chiambretti to his talk show Markette . Since then she has often appeared on Italian television.
