The Verbandsgemeinde Heidesheim am Rhein was an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional authority in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The municipality included only the two local churches Heidenheim on the Rhine and Wacker home to the administrative headquarters was in the eponymous municipality Heidenheim on the Rhine.
On July 1, 2019, the community of Heidesheim am Rhein was dissolved, the two associated communities were incorporated into the city of Ingelheim am Rhein .

The blazon reads: "Diagonal left divided by gold and red. In the upper part a red-tongued and armored eagle, in the lower part a silver, four-spoke wheel overlaid with a silver cross."
The coat of arms shows the insignia of the local communities Heidesheim am Rhein and Wackernheim. Above right the Wackernheim Imperial Eagle, below left the Heidesheimer Rad with a cross above. The approval to use this coat of arms was granted on November 8, 1995 by the Mainz-Bingen district administration.
