Virgin Snatch is a Polish thrash metal band from Krakow that was formed in 2001.

history

The band was formed in 2001. In the following period there were several line-up changes, as well as the recording of some demo recordings in June 2002. At the beginning of 2003 the bassist Tomasz "Titus" Pukacki ( Acid Drinkers ), the guitarist Grzegorz "Grysik" Bryła ( Anal Stench ), the singer Łukasz " Zielony "Zieliński (Anal Stench) and the drummer Jacek" Jacko "Nowak-Sławeński a permanent cast. With this line-up, the band recorded their debut album, which was released in December 2003 under the name SUCK . The recordings for this took place in the Kraków Lynx Studio . Guest musicians on the album included Jacek Hiro ( Skeptic ), Yanuary ( Thy Disease ) and Jaro.Slav ( Lux Occulta ). The band then held their first gig in Krakow, along with groups like Rage and Helloween . In 2004 Jacek Hiro joined the band as the second guitarist. Further appearances followed, among others together with Anthrax in Warsaw . This was followed by the second album Art of Lying , which was recorded by the Wiesławscy brothers in the Hertz Recording Studio . On the album you can hear Paweł Mąciwoda ( Scorpions ) as the new bass player, who was replaced a little later by Piotr "Anioł" Wącisz. In 2006 the band went on tour with Behemoth , Hermh and Corruption . This was followed by an appearance at the Przystanek Woodstock and the Hunter Fest in Szczytno in the same year . In November of that year, the next album followed with In the Name of Blood . In addition, the band recorded a music video for the song Purge My Stain under the direction of Bogumił Godfrejów , which was also broadcast on MTV . This was followed by a 30-day tour together with Hunter , Frontside and Rootwater and played at the Czech Interiff Festival. In 2007 the band played at the Masters of Rock and performed at the Katowice Spodek Arena, along with Behemoth, Celtic Frost and Slayer . In addition, the band again took part in the Hunter Fest, where groups such as Acid Drinkers, Behemoth, Samael and Sepultura performed. In winter 2007 the band went on tour through Poland and played with Thy Disease, Rasta , mahavatar , Metal Safari , None and JLS . In January 2008 the band played a charity concert at the Stodoła Club in Warsaw with Vader and Behemoth, the concert dedicated to the late drummer Vitek Kiełtyka ( Decapitated ). In addition, the band began work on the next album, while bassist Wącisz left the band and was replaced by Marcin "Novy" Nowak. In this line-up, the band recorded their fourth album Act of Grace . The song It's Time was dedicated to Vitek Kiełtyka, with his brother Wacek Kiełtyka contributing a solo . The publication was followed by a tour of Poland. The group also played with TSA , Acid Drinkers, Behemoth, Vader, Kat , Hunter, Hate and Frontside. The band also played at the Polish festival Sthrashydło. Another tour followed in early 2010 with Thy Disease and Armagedon . Towards the end of the year the band went on tour again with Sadist and Crionics , playing in Poland, Moldova , Estonia , Russia , Lithuania , Ukraine , the Czech Republic and Slovakia .

style

According to laut.de, the band plays technically clean Thrash Metal. On Act of Grace the band play classic Thrash Metal, comparable to the works of Exodus and Testament . According to Marc Halupczok from Metal Hammer , “Melodic, subtly modern Thrash Metal” can be heard on Act of Grace , with influences from bands such as the newer Metallica , Fear Factory and Machine Head . The singing alternates between clear and guttural singing .
