Voghiera is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 3679 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Ferrara in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 13 kilometers southeast of Ferrara .

history

The history of the community goes back far into the Middle Ages: around 330 the bishopric was probably established in what is now the Voghenza district . This existed until 657. The story is also connected with Niccolò III. d'Este , who had the Delizia di Belriguardo built.

North of the municipality, the Raccordo Autostrada 8 runs from Ferrara to Porto Garibaldi on the Adriatic Sea .
