Volleyball Nations League 2020 (Men)

The 2020 season of the Volleyball Nations League should be the third edition of this competition. It was originally intended to begin on 22 May 2020 and with the final on July 5, 2020, Anaheim ( United States border). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the competition was completely canceled. Russia would have entered as the defending champion .

mode

In the preliminary round, 16 teams will compete against each other in four-way tournaments for five weeks. Four tournaments will take place in parallel every week. The participants were distributed to the tournaments in such a way that everyone will play against everyone during the preliminary round. The results of the total of twenty tournaments are added up in a table. The five best teams in the overall ranking will qualify for the final round alongside the host.

In the final round, the participants are divided into two groups of three. The two best teams in each group will cross over against each other in the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will advance to the final.
