The of Dratelnsche Park ( listen ^{? / I} ) (official spelling; frequent misspelling "Von Dratelnscher Park" or occasionally "off-Drateln'scher Park") is a public green space in the district of Horn in Hamburg-Mitte . It was created in 2008 and 2009 by redesigning and redesigning the previous "Park am Bauerberg". The "von Drateln" family, after whom the green area was named, ran an estate on the Bauerberg until the Second World War .

A completely redesigned green area was created in cooperation with the residents and the Hamburg-Mitte district office . In June 2009 the park was inaugurated with a summer festival .

While the former “Park am Bauerberg” was surrounded by tall coniferous trees with a few benches , care was taken to ensure that the park could be seen and accessed from all sides. The park now only has individual trees and otherwise free lines of sight ; two footpaths cross in the middle of the park, a third footpath crosses the park in half. The number of benches and trash cans has increased significantly compared to the previous state.

The "von Dratelnsche Park" also has a sandpit , a double swing , a large car tire and a low climbing net as play equipment for children . For adults there is an area for outdoor chess with benches.

Legal regulations

According to the Dog Law of 2006, dogs are required to be leashed on the park area . However, this is regularly disregarded; In addition, there is a lack of bag dispensers for dog waste in the park . Both grievances have repeatedly been the subject of local press coverage. There are no opening times ; The park can be used at any time as long as the night's rest is observed.
