WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW is the first part of Smackdown vs. RAW - sports game series by THQ . The game was released on November 12, 2004 in Germany and is available for PlayStation 2 .

Gameplay

The game allows players to wrestlers from the roster of RAW , Smackdown or to control and Legends in fighting with these wrestlers a complete storyline to experience. Around 50 different characters can be selected in the game. In addition to the existing wrestlers, the player can also create his own. After a fighter and a match type has been selected, the game shows an animation that shows the game character before the fight. This sequence, called the Wrestling Entrance , differs from wrestler to wrestler and is accompanied by music and a video, sometimes fireworks.

The aim of the fights is different depending on the type of match. For example, a counterparty has to be thrown through a table, pinned or given up.

In addition to simple matches, there is also a story mode, called "season" in the game. In this mode, the player accompanies a wrestler through a season consisting of several fights. Dialogues are occasionally played between these fights. The aim of the mode is to fight for championship titles, among other things, and to end the season successfully.

In addition, the game offers an editor with which your own wrestlers can be created. The entrance (marching in) can also be specified.
