The Wagendrischelhorn is 2251  m to Stadelhorn and Big Häuselhorn the third highest elevation of the Alm rider in the Bavarian Alps . Of the three highest peaks of the Reiter Alm, the Wagendrischelhorn stands in the middle and is the most easily accessible summit destination. The 2055  m high Mayrbergscharte separates it from the Stadelhorn to the south, and an unnamed notch at around 2125  m from the Großer Häuselhorn to the north . Viewed from Ramsau , the Wagendrischelhorn presents itself as a strikingly rounded rocky summit and a distinguishing feature for the place and the mountain range.

The normal route leads from the northeastern Rosskarscharte to the summit in 45 minutes. From the Neue Traunsteiner Hütte you can reach the Wagendrischelhorn in 2.5 hours through Rossgasse. The Rosskarscharte does not need to be entered. Already before the saddle a trail branches off to the right in the Rosskar, which leads to the normal route. From the Mayrbergscharte, a via ferrata leads in 45 minutes from the south to the Wagendrischelhorn.

The panoramic view of the summit from Wagendrischelhorn is hardly inferior to that of its slightly higher neighbors and extends from Untersberg , Hohem Göll and Hochkalter via Leoganger and Loferer Steinberge to the Sonntagshorn . In addition, on clear days the Wagendrischelhorn offers a view from the Großer Priel in the east over the Dachstein and the Hohe Tauern with Großglockner and Großvenediger to the Zugspitze in the west.
