The election for the city council of Berlin in 1933 took place on March 12, 1933.

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) was able to record an enormous increase of more than 30 percentage points and rose to become the strongest force.

The SPD slipped into second place with just over 20 percent, followed by the Communist Party of Germany (KPD). The German National People's Party appeared in this election as the Black-White-Red (KSWR) fighting front and, like the SPD and KPD, had to accept losses of more than five percentage points.

As the only party besides the NSDAP, the German Center Party was able to book profits for itself - but only marginally. The German State Party (DStP), which traded as the German Democratic Party in the past , suffered heavy losses with a minus of four percentage points.

The same goes for the German People's Party (DVP), which achieved its worst result with less than one percentage point. The Christian Social People's Service (CSVD) lost around half of its votes, but gained one MP.
