Constituency area
The following towns and communities in the former constituencies of Dresden, Land II - Freital III and Dippoldiswalde - Freital II belonged to the Meißen-Dresden Süd constituency in 1994: Altfranken , Colmnitz , Cossebaude , Coswig , Dorfhain , Gompitz , Grumbach , Kurort Hartha , Kesselsdorf , Klingenberg , Mobschatz , Mohorn , Pesterwitz , Pohrsdorf , Radebeul and Tharandt .
In 1999 the localities of Altfranken and Cossebaude were already incorporated into Dresden, but still remained in the constituency of Meißen-Dresden Süd.
The constituency structure in Saxony was changed again for the 2004 state elections . The area of the constituency Meißen-Dresden Süd was divided into the three constituencies Meißen 2 , Weißeritzkreis 1 and Wahlkreis Dresden 4 . The two-time election winner of the Meißen-Dresden Süd constituency, Matthias Rößler, now ran for the CDU as a top candidate in the Meißen 2 constituency.
