Mobschatz is a town of Dresden in the western part of the Saxon state capital . It is made up of the districts of Mobschatz , Alt-Leuteritz , Brabschütz , Merbitz , Podemus and Rennersdorf . Mobschatz belongs to the statistical district of Cossebaude / Mobschatz / Oberwartha .
geography
Mobschatz is located in the west of Dresden. In terms of landscape, it belongs to the loess plateau of the Meissen highlands . In the south, Mobschatz borders on the village of Gompitz , in the west on Oberwartha , in the north on the village of Cossebaude and in the east on the urban district of Cotta . The most important bodies of water are the Zschonergrundbach along the south-eastern border of the town and the upper reservoir of the Niederwarthaer pumped storage plant in the far west. The area of the village of Mobschatz is between 130 and 270 m above sea level. NN . Mobschatz has a share in the landscape protection areas of the Left Elbe Valleys between Dresden and Meißen and Zschoner Grund .
history
The current village of Mobschatz was created in 1994 through the amalgamation of the communities Mobschatz and Brabsütz , into which Rennersdorf , Merbitz and Podemus were incorporated in 1950 and Alt-Leuteritz in 1970 . On January 1, 1999, despite bitter resistance from its residents and the local council, the municipality of Mobschatz was incorporated into Dresden by law and has been called Mobschatz since then.
