The Loschwitz district is a district in the east of the Saxon state capital Dresden . It is the largest urban district in the city in terms of area; a large part is made up of the Dresdner Heide . With effect from September 13, 2018, the day of the public announcement of the corresponding amendment to the main statutes, the name city district replaced the original name local office area. Accordingly, the local council, local office and local office manager became the new names city district council, city district office and city district office manager.

* The Dresdner Heide is located as a forest in the urban area outside of built-up areas, forms a district and an almost uninhabited statistical district.

location

The city district is located in the east of Dresden and extends almost from the northern border to the southern border of Dresden. With the Elbe as the border in the southwest, it runs along the Dresden Elbe slopes to the Neustadt district in the west. The district of Klotzsche borders the Dresdner Heide in the northwest . The Dresden town of Schönfeld-Weißig joins in the east .

City District Office

The Loschwitz district office is located in a new building that was built in the mid-1990s at the confluence of Grundstrasse with Körnerplatz . The Loschwitz Town Hall was located at this location until 1994 and was demolished due to its dilapidation.
