Hosterwitz / Pillnitz with Niederpoyritz, Oberpoyritz and Söbrigen is a statistical district of Dresden in the Loschwitz district .

location

The statistical district extends along the Elbe and the Dresden Elbe slopes in the east of the state capital. It is surrounded in the north by Schönfeld / Schullwitz and Gönnsdorf / Pappritz in the village of Schönfeld-Weißig . Further east are the districts of Graupa and Birkwitz-Pratzschwitz in the district town of Pirna . To the southwest, i.e. on the opposite side of the Elbe, are Kleinzschachwitz and Laubegast in the Leuben district . Hosterwitz / Pillnitz borders on Loschwitz / Wachwitz to the northwest .

The statistical district is divided into the following statistical districts :

With the exception of Oberpoyritz, all parts of the city are still in village-like structures with their historic village centers, on the banks of the Elbe.

traffic

Pillnitzer Strasse runs through the district and leads on the right bank of the Elbe to Loschwitz, Körnerplatz and from there to the Blue Wonder . On this street the bus route 63 of the Dresden public transport company crosses the district. In Pillnitz, the Pirna city bus route P.

The Castle Ferry , the only car ferry operated by Dresden's public transport company , crosses the Elbe between Pillnitz and Hosterwitz . Ships belonging to the Saxon steam shipping line dock near Pillnitz .
