Lockwitz with Kauscha, Nickern and Luga is the southernmost statistical district of Dresden in the district of Prohlis .

location

The statistical district is located in the southeast of Dresden. It is surrounded in the north by Niedersedlitz and Prohlis and in the northwest by Leubnitz-Neuostra .

Heidenau lies to the east, the Dohna district of Borthen to the southeast , the Kreischa districts of Sobrigau and Babisnau to the south and the Bannewitz district of Goppeln in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district to the south-west .

State road 172 runs through the district from northwest to east. In the southeast of the district, the federal road has a feeder to the Heidenau junction of federal highway 17 , which is on the city limits. In the south-west, the Dresden-Prohlis junction is partially on the Kauscha district. Both are connected via the Lockwitztalbrücke .

Bus line 66 ends in the district (in Nickern or Lockwitz), which has replaced the previous lines 72 and 76 since the end of 2009. Bus routes to neighboring communities also cross the district, such as the H / S line on the S172 in the direction of Pirna , the combined bus routes 86, F and 386 in the direction of Kreischa, Freital and Glashütte , and the line 89 in the direction of Borthen and Röhrsdorf. The terminus of tram lines 1, 9 and 13 is located directly on the northern border of the statistical district.

There is also a daily long-distance bus connection to and from the Praha-Holešovice train station .
