Wilsdruffer Vorstadt / Seevorstadt-West is a statistical district in Dresden's old town . It is located on the western and southwestern edge of the city center in the area of the Dresden suburbs .

The statistical district includes parts of the districts Altstadt I (in particular the western Seevorstadt and northern Wilsdruffer Vorstadt ) and Altstadt II (southern part of the Wilsdruffer Vorstadt outside the 26th Ring ). It is divided into the following seven statistical districts :
- 041 Wilsdruffer Vorstadt (Ostra-Allee)
- 042 Wilsdruffer Vorstadt (Ermischstr.)
- 043 Wilsdruffer Vorstadt (Maternistr.)
- 044 Seevorstadt-West (Am See)
- 045 Seevorstadt-West (Sternplatz)

location
The statistical district is surrounded in the northeast by the Inner New Town , in the east by the Inner Old Town and Seevorstadt-Ost / Großer Garten , in the south by Südvorstadt-West and in the west by Löbtau-Nord and Friedrichstadt .
The boundaries of the district are formed by the Elbe , the inner-city railway line or the former Weißeritz course , the Nossener Bridge , the Bayrische Straße, Reitbahn- and Marienstraße, the Ostra-Allee and the street Am Zwingerteich.
In addition to the Saxon state parliament and the congress center , the district also includes the theater , the World Trade Center , the headquarters of the Dresden University of Music Carl Maria von Weber and the Dresden Youth Hostel .

The federal highways B 6 and B 173 run through the district . There are also several important main streets in the city: Budapester Strasse, Devrientstrasse and Schweriner Strasse. Due to the central location, there is also a large number of public transport options. In the district there are 18 tram and 11 bus stops as well as the Dresden Mitte train station and the Freiberger Straße S-Bahn stop.
