admission

Reviewer Alexander Jürgs from the Frankfurter Rundschau found "great, hilarious stories" in the volume, but also noted a risk of "marginalization" and "labeling" of the contributors that cannot be entirely ruled out. In this context, for example, the criticism on the pages of kulturnews.de spoke of “documents that try so hard to show that people of Turkish origin are also humane, that they are almost racist again”. In the foreword of the editors it was pointed out, however, that nobody in the book “wants to be reduced to being of Turkish origin” and “on the other hand does not want to set themselves apart”, “but simply preserve our wide German-Turkish world and at the same time open it to the curious” . The book published by Ayşegül Acevit and Birand Bingül is recommended by the information and documentation center for anti-racism work in North Rhine-Westphalia , but also on the homepage of the German Embassy in Zambia .
