We Are Wolf is a progressive metalcore band from Bonn, founded in 2000 . The band's founding name was Eat Unda Table .
history
The band currently consists of René Becker ( vocals ), Andreas Lorenz ( guitar ), Florian Umbreit (guitar), Nico Ganser ( bass ) and Jan Grabolle ( drums ). Since their inception, they have played with bands such as Thy Art Is Murder , Six Feet Under , Misery Speaks , Dew-Scented , War from a Harlots Mouth , Fear My Thoughts , Burning Skies , Callejon , Machinemade God , Narziss and Fire in the Attic, among others .
In 2006 the band released an EP called Dressed Like Beauty Queens under the old name . In 2008 the split CD Follow the Asphalt followed together with A New Hope . On October 23, 2010 the band played together with Six Reasons to Kill and We Butter the Bread with Butter in the Heimersheim district of Neuenahr at the Circle Pit Festival .
The band is under contract with Noizgate Records and released their debut album Aeons on July 30th, 2010. This was reviewed by several internet magazines and print media and received very mixed records. These magazines include Powermetal.de and Metal.de .
In April 2011 the group played on the DVD release show of the band Six Feet Under in Cologne. The group released the EP Masquerader in 2014 and their current album Oklahoma in 2015 .
Guitarist Felix Becker left the band in March 2019. With the new guitarist Florian Umbreit, the band has already found a successor.
style
The band's style of music has changed over the years from Melodic Death Metal to Progressive Metalcore , but the music still contains clear hardcore punk elements. René Becker's guttural singing is characteristic, alternating between screeching and growling.
