Weihermühle is a district of the Münchsteinach community in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Steinach , which is a left tributary of the Aisch . In the northeast the Schachtelstein rises in the Lehenwald, in the southwest the Münchberg in the forest area Hagenbüchach and in the southeast the Wolfsberg. Between the Schachtelstein and the Wolfsberg is the Wolfsgrund and the Stahlleite with the Wolfsquelle, which flows into the Steinach at the Weihermühle as a left tributary. The state road 2259 leading to central Steinach (1.5 km north-west) or (1.5 km south-east) to Münchsteinach.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1536 as "Weyermu ^e len".

Towards the end of the 18th century the Weihermühle belonged to Münchsteinach . The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The property was owned by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth monastery office Münchsteinach landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the Weihermühle was given house number 44 in Münchsteinach.

As part of the community edict, Weihermühle was assigned to the Münchsteinach tax district formed in 1811, and from 1813 it belonged to the Münchsteinach rural community .
