Werner Kullack

Werner Kullack (* 12. December 1950 in Koenigswinter ) is a Major General of the Army of the Armed Forces retired. In his last employment, he was deputy commander of the 1st German-Dutch Corps from July 1, 2010 to December 13, 2012 .

Military career

Training and first uses

Kullack joined the German Armed Forces in 1970 with the 10th Engineer Battalion in Ingolstadt . After officer training a. a. at the Army Officer's School I in Hanover he was platoon leader in the light engineer battalion 14 in Cologne-Longerich and in the tank engineer company 30 in Dedelstorf . From 1974 to 1977 he studied civil engineering at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich . This was followed by assignments as platoon leader in the Panzerpionierkompanie 140 in Koblenz and as an S3 officer in the Pioneer Battalion 5 in Lahnstein . From 1979 to 1982 Kullack was company commander of the 2nd Company / Engineer Battalion 5.

Service as a staff officer

Kullack completed the general staff course in Hamburg at the command academy of the Bundeswehr and was then employed from 1984 to 1986 as a G2 in the 2nd Panzer Grenadier Division in Kassel and as a G3 staff officer at SHAPE in Mons , Belgium . In 1989 he returned to the Engineer Battalion 5 and became its commander. This was followed by a position in the Federal Ministry of Defense , in the command staff of the Army I 7 and in the command staff of the armed forces I 4. In 1993, Kullack G1 was in III.
