Werschenschlag is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Waldhausen in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 30 building areas with 17,367 m² and 51 gardens on 38,339 m² in the cadastral community of Werschenschlag , in 1989/1990 there were 27 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 96 and in 2009/2010 there were 38 buildings on 92 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 182 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 143 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 164 hectares and 162 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 159 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 165 hectares. The average soil climate number in Werschenschlag is 22.7 (as of 2010).
