Brand is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Waldhausen in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 72 building areas with 44,007 m² and 67 gardens on 74,675 m² in the cadastral community of Brand , in 1989/1990 there were 86 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 236 and in 2009/2010 there were 101 buildings on 205 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 367 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 228 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 334 hectares and 253 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 315 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 262 hectares. The average soil climate number of Brand is 25.9 (as of 2010).
