Wetzles is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Weitra in the district of Gmünd in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 51 building areas with 24,346 m² and 23 gardens on 7,257 m² in the cadastral community of Wetzles, in 1989/1990 there were 51 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 138 and in 2009/2010 there were 87 buildings on 147 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 370 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 214 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 330 hectares and 251 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 323 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 252 hectares. The average soil climate number of Wetzles is 21.4 (as of 2010).
