What is love? is the fifth mini-album by the South Korean girl group Twice . It was released on April 9, 2018 together with the single of the same name. The album was produced by JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin-young .
background
On February 26, 2018, JYP Entertainment announced that Twice would be working on a new album. The publication is planned for April. However, an exact date was not yet given at this point in time. One month later, on March 24th, April 9th was given as the release date. Subsequently, teaser photos, the track list and other information such as the cover design of the CD were published daily .
JYP Entertainment announced on April 3rd that it had already 350,000 pre-orders for What Is Love? were registered, which meant a new record for the group.
On April 9, What Is Love? together with the single of the same name for download. The CDs hit stores a day later.
