Wilfried Toepser (born February 12, 1919 ; † 2003 ) was a flotilla admiral in the German Navy .

Life

As frigate captain, Toepser succeeded frigate captain Walter Herrmann as commander of the naval supply school (MVS) and remained in this position until March 1964, after which frigate captain Walter Stepputat was his successor. On October 1, 1971, he replaced Brigadier General Gustav Adolf Klueter as Flotilla Admiral as commander of the Bundeswehr logistics school and held this position until December 31, 1973. His successor there was Henrich Grote on January 1, 1974 , while he was in turn the successor to Flotilla Admiral Grote as commander of the Baltic Sea Division . He then acted between December 1974 and December 1976 as commander of the resulting naval section command in the Baltic Sea . Successor in this use was in January 1977 Captain Gerhard Behrens.

Toepser himself then replaced Flotilla Admiral Helmut Kampe as commander of the Mürwik Naval School in January 1977 . He held this function until his retirement on March 31, 1979, after which Flotilla Admiral Dieter Ehrhardt became his successor.
