Uwe Siegfried Kahre (* December 11, 1943 ; † June 7, 2017 ) was a German rear admiral in the navy who was, among other things, commander of the Mürwik naval school between 1996 and 1999 and commander of the military area command I “Coast” from 2003 to 2004 .

Life

After graduating from high school as a member of Crew IV / 1964, Kahre began his training as a naval officer in the German Navy at the Mürwik Naval School on April 1, 1964 . His classmates included Jörg Auer , who later became the commander of the flotilla of the mine forces , chief of the command staff of the armed forces as well as deputy inspector of the navy and chief of staff in the command staff of the navy . Flotilla Admiral Kahre replaced Flotilla Admiral Götz Eberle as commander of the Mürwik Naval School on December 19, 1996 and remained in this position until September 16, 1999, after which Flotilla Admiral Hubertus von Puttkamer became his successor there. He himself then worked as a rear admiral at the headquarters of the Supreme Allied Commander of the Allied Command Area Atlantic ACLANT (Allied Command Atlantic) . Most recently, on March 28, 2003, he was the successor to Rear Admiral Dieter Leder as commander of the Defense Division I “Coast” (WBK I) in Kiel . He retired on December 31, 2004 and was then replaced by Major General Heinz-Georg Keerl on January 1, 2005 .
