Wilhelm Hengstenberg (Upper President)
Wilhelm Hengstenberg (born November 24, 1853 in Brandenburg an der Havel , † December 16, 1927 in Wiesbaden ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer .
Life
As the son of the theologian Ernst Wilhelm Hengstenberg , Wilhelm Hengstenberg studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg after graduating from high school . In 1875 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia . After the first state examination in law , he became a trainee lawyer in Wiesbaden in 1878 . In 1881 he joined the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1884 he went to Frankfurt (Oder) as a government assessor .
Since 1887 district administrator of the Lauban district , he joined the provincial government of the province of Silesia in Wroclaw in 1899 as senior president . In 1902 he became president of the Wiesbaden region . In 1905 he was appointed Undersecretary of State to the Prussian State Ministry . In 1907 he was Governor- in Hesse-Nassau . On September 1, 1917, at the age of 64, he was retired.
