Wilhelm Redeker

Wilhelm Christian Leopold Redeker (born March 26, 1812 in Groß Berkel , † February 14, 1871 in Groß Berkel) was a German landowner and politician.

Life

Wilhelm Redeker attended the village school in Groß Berkel and received an agricultural education on his father's estate there. In 1831 he became the second administrator at the Bisperode estate . In 1835 he took over the Vallentrup estate in the Principality of Lippe . In 1848 he was vigilante commandant of the Sternberg office in Lippe , and later also a local councilor there. In 1852 he inherited his father's property in Groß Berkel and in 1854 he became a member of the Calenberg - Grubenhagen landscape . In 1853, from 1856 to 1862 and from 1863 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates Assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover . In 1867 he was a co-founder of the National Liberal Party as well as Prussia's confidante when deliberating on the Hanoverian provincial constitution.

From 1865 to 1866 he was a member of the Lippe state parliament and from 1867 until his death in the Hanover provincial parliament . From 1867 to 1870 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1867 to 1871 he was also a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Hanover 9 ( Hameln , Linden , Springe ). In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament , which met from 1868 to 1870 .
