William Forsythe (born June 7, 1955 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American actor who occasionally appears as a producer .

Life

He began his acting career in 1980 with a role in the film Long Shot . Since then he has mainly appeared as a prominent supporting actor, his first notable role of this kind he had in 1984 in the epic Once Upon a Time in America by Sergio Leone . Forsythe also works for television and took over a. a. 2002 a leading role in the television series The Case of John Doe! . He can also be seen as a guest star in individual episodes of various series such as Shark . He took on major roles in television series from 2011 to 2012 in Boardwalk Empire and from 2012 to 2013 in The Mob Doctor .

Forsythe is the father of three daughters.
