Winfried Baßmann (born February 12, 1950 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German educator , Germanist , political scientist , Amnesty International coordinator and non-fiction author as well as a long-time headmaster in the Lower Saxony capital of Hanover .

Life

Career

Winfried Baßmann grew up in Offenbach am Main, where he graduated from the Leibniz School there in 1968 . He studied in Frankfurt at Goethe University in the subjects German, history, politics and philosophy with Professors Siegfried Sudhof , IRING FETSCHER , Jurgen Habermas , Theodor W. Adorno , Dieter Senghaas and Helga gift . In 1976 he received his doctorate with a study on the work of Siegfried Lenz .

From 1977 Baßmann worked as a teacher in Hanover; two years later he became a member of the collegial school management of the IGS Hannover-Linden from 1979 . From 1983 to 2009 he worked part-time as a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute of the Leibniz University in Hanover .

From 1994 to 1998 Winfried Baßmann worked as the spokesman for the Framework Directive Commission on Values ​​and Standards at the Lower Saxony Minister of Education . At the same time he worked from 1994 to 2004 as the didactic director of the KGS Ronnenberg .

On August 1, 2004, Baßmann was introduced to the office of headmaster with the title of senior studies director at the Kurt-Schwitters-Gymnasium in the Hanover district of Misburg , which he headed until 2015. From 2006 to 2012 he was also the spokesman for the high school administrators in Hanover, from 2010 to 2015 as the spokesman for the working group for high schools in the SPD , Lower Saxony State Association .

Winfried Baßmann has worked in the German section of Amnesty International since 1971 , including as spokesman for the South Africa coordination from 1975 to 1978, as spokesman for the Nicaragua coordination from 1978 to 1981 and as spokesman for the Mexico coordination from 1982 to 1990 .

1986 to 1994 Baßmann was chairman of the sports club TuS Wettbergen and in 1989 co-founder of the cultural catacomb Wettbergen .
