Wolfgang Dimetrik

Wolfgang Dimetrik (born January 6, 1974 in Eibiswald , Styria ) is an Austrian accordionist .

He received his first accordion lessons at the age of six. From the age of 11, Dimetrik was taught by Prof. Erwin Moder at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz . In 1991 he passed the entrance examination at the Graz University of Music . This was followed by accordion studies with Gastprof. Mogens Ellegaard , James Crabb and Geir Draugsvoll . 1992 Abitur at the music school in Graz. After graduating in 1996, Dimetrik moved to the Hermann Zilcher Conservatory in Würzburg, in the class of Stefan Hussong . 2001 Artistic Diploma. 2003 master class diploma at the University of Music, Würzburg .

Wolfgang Dimetrik is a representative of the classical accordion . His repertoire ranges from the interpretation of baroque and classical works to the rendering of modern original literature for the accordion .

He is the winner of various competitions ( VAMÖ Competition Vienna, German Conservatory Competition Nuremberg ). Master classes with Geir Draugsvoll, Holland; Mie Miki-Schenk , Germany; Joseph Macerollo , Canada.

In addition to solo concerts, Wolfgang Dimetrik also performs as a chamber musician, for example with the musikFabrik Nordrhein-Westfalen , the Neuen Ensemble Hannover, the ensemble recherche , the Ensemble Modern or the Ensemble SurPlus .

Wolfgang Dimetrik is also a teacher at the vocational school for music in Altötting .
