Wolfgang Jansen (born April 3, 1938 in Danzig ; † January 9, 1988 in Hamburg ) was a German actor .

life and career

The son of the sculptor Bernhard Jansen and the singer Elli Jansen were among the survivors of the refugee ship Wilhelm Gustloff, which was sunk in 1945, as a child . In the process he lost his parents and grew up with his grandmother in Berlin. Jansen was soon working in extras at various Berlin theaters.

He got his first film role in the smuggler film Sinful Frontier in 1951. From then on he was committed to the role of the snotty kid, he played curious, cheeky students and apprentices in numerous films of the fifties. He was particularly popular in Austrian productions, where he was particularly popular with his Berlin mouth as a contrasting figure. Jansen's fame, which has continued to this day, is also based on his participation in the legendary film "The Heiden von Kummerow and their funny pranks" (with Theo Lingen , among others ), which is repeated to this day on the third programs and is very popular with the audience.

When he could no longer fill the role of the film teenager, Jansen turned to television, where he gave samples of his comedic skills in numerous programs, and in 1974 presented the children's series Kli-Kla-Klawitter . It was now also shown in several German theaters.

He shot 70 episodes of " Fauch and Sebastian " for the West-Sandmännchen (NDR) . It is about the experiences of a young man, the poet Sebastian Schimmelpfennig, with a hand puppet acting as the little dragon Fauch: Sebastian actually only described Fauch in his children's books, but one day he came alive. He spread out in Sebastian's apartment, played on his typewriter and even lolled around in bed. The poet was not at all enthusiastic at first. But he was puzzled when Fauch promised to tell him new stories every day. Good food for the writer! Sebastian was reconciled and Fauch was allowed to stay. (Actor: Wolfgang Jansen. Direction, speaker, puppet design, puppet tour: Jiri Prochazka. Music: Eugen Illinois. Editing: Helga Mauersberger. Production: Telefilm Saar GmbH, Saarbrücken.)

In 1983 his marriage to a medical assistant was divorced after 22 years, and shortly afterwards his new partner had a fatal accident. In 1985 he lost his right leg in a train accident in Darmstadt. Wolfgang Jansen died in the poorest of circumstances.
