After returning to Berlin in March 1945 , he experienced the bombing war and later the invasion of the Russian troops, as well as the evacuation of the district by the Soviet troops, who set up the military administration in Germany here. Since the family's apartment was on the outskirts of the suburb, the family was not affected, which led them to seek shelter in their home.
