The 1985/86 season was the fourth edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the Women's English League . The league is run by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Chairman's Cup .

All teams played a simple round with a return leg. There was no relegation.

The new English champions were reinforced by goalkeeper Suzanne Johnson and led by American Charlotte Johnson , who also received awards in three different sports (hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse).
