Xi Aihua

Xi Aihua ( Chinese  奚爱华 , Pinyin Xī ÀiHuá ; born January 27, 1982 in Shouguang ) is a former Chinese rower .

Xi Aihua started rowing in 1999. In 2003 she finished eleventh with the Chinese double foursome at the World Championships in Milan . At the 2006 World Championships in Eton , the Chinese quadruple in the line-up of Tang Bin , Xi Aihua, Gao Yulan and Feng Guixin took fourth place behind the British, Australians and Germans, the Russian quadruple was disqualified. At the World Cup in Amsterdam in 2007, the Chinese quadruple won with Tang Bin, Jin Ziwei , Xi Aihua and Feng Guixin. At the World Championships in Munich , the Chinese quadruple won the bronze medal behind the British and the Germans. The four rowers, who won the bronze medal in 2007, won the 2008 World Cup regatta in Lucerne. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , Zhang Yangyang was in the boat for Feng Giuxin. In front of a home crowd, the four Chinese women won the gold medal in the double foursome, the first and so far (as of 2012) only Olympic rowing gold medal for the People's Republic of China. At the end of her international career, Xi Aihua finished second at the 2009 World Cup in Munich with a Chinese eighth .
