album Confessions

Yeah! ( English for " Yes! ") is a song by US R&B singer Usher that he recorded with rappers Lil Jon and Ludacris . The song is the first single from his fourth studio album Confessions and was released on January 27, 2004.

content

Yeah! is a typical club song that is supposed to animate the listener to dance. The content is about flirting in a night club. Usher sings how he enters a club with his friends and shortly afterwards comes into contact with a woman and dances with her. As they dance closer and closer together, he thinks about leaving the club with her. Ludacris raps how he gets noticed in the club thanks to his extravagant outfit and that his goal is to get women to dance and ultimately to tow them away. He wanted a woman who was a lady on the street but a freak in bed.

Music video

The music video for Yeah! was shot by the Canadian director Director X and has more than 310 million views on Youtube (as of June 2019).

At the beginning of the video, Usher and Lil Jon enter a nightclub and immediately grab the attention of the women there. Usher sits down with an attractive woman on a sofa in the club and then follows her onto the dance floor , where they dance closely together to the song. In between, scenes are faded in that show Usher dancing alone in a dark room in front of blue laser light. Later you see Usher dancing a choreography in the club with other male and female dancers . Ludacris raps his verse in the club as well, with women dancing around him. Some scenes show him, Lil Jon and Usher in the dark room in front of the green laser light. At the end of the video, Usher follows another attractive woman out of the club, where he is pulled into a room and seduced by her.

At the MTV Video Music Awards 2004 , the music video received the awards in the categories Best Male Video and Best Dance Video .
