Yuncos is a Spanish town in the province of Toledo in Castile-La Mancha . The municipality is located in the La Sagra district and borders the town of Illescas to the north , Numancia de la Sagra to the east, Yuncler to the south and Cedillo del Condado to the west .

Surname

The name "Yuncos" is derived from the Mozarabic term "Yunko" (reed). According to information from 1788, Yuncos was originally called "Las Ventas de Unco"; a place where reeds are offered.

history

A farm in Yuncos was first mentioned in 1181. The Mozarab Martín Raimundo, who owned a vineyard in Cobisa , lived in the farm . In 1634, Yuncos separated from Toledo.
