To the northwest, separated by the western ( 2774  m ) and the eastern Plattkofelscharte , lies the Plattkofel , to the east, beyond the Zahnkofelscharte, the Innerkoflerturm and the Grohmannspitze ( 3126  m ). In the north, the Plattkofelkar with the Langkofelhütte ( 2253  m ) extends , in the south the Val Duron , a side valley of the Fassa valley with the Rifugio Sandro Pertini ( 2305  m ).

ways

The normal route leads from the south (starting from the much traveled Friedrich-August-Weg ) over the eastern Plattkofelscharte and the western edge in easy climbing ( UIAA III ) to the summit. More difficult climbing routes up to VI. Difficulty levels can be found on all other walls of the mountain. These climbing routes were partly by renowned mountaineers as Sepp Innerkofler , Hermann Delago , Reinhold Messner and Jeanne Immink first ascent .
