history
The settlement belonging to the Žehušice estate was established as a settlement of miners who extracted and smelted iron ore. In the first half of the 19th century, iron mining was briefly resumed. The robber Wenzel Babinsky had his hideout in the Na Babách forest for a while .
In 1840, the village of Zbraniowes , situated at the foot of the cliffy Strážník hill, consisted of four houses in which 54 people lived. The parish was Zdechowitz .
After the abolition of patrimonial Zbraňoves formed from 1849 a district of the Horušice municipality in the judicial district of Časlau . On June 2, 1867, a major fire destroyed all four chalets in Zbraňoves . From 1868 the hamlet belonged to the Časlau district . By order of the linguistic commission in Prague, the place name was changed to Zbraněves in 1920 . During this time the large landowner Jan Zítek had a granite quarry built on Strážník; The paving stones produced from 1930 found good sales and were also used for regulation of the Elbe. A small private quarry was built near Zbraněves. 1949 Zbraněves was assigned to the Okres Přelouč. From 1953 the Czechoslovak Army used the Zdechovice Castle as a barracks and set up a training area in the forest between Zdechovice and Zbraněves. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 the Okres Přelouč was abolished, the Horušice municipality was assigned to the Okres Kutná Hora . In 1964 the community was dissolved; Horušice was incorporated into Žehušice , Zbraněves was added to the municipality of Zdechovice in the Okres Pardubice as a district. After the Red Army took over the Zdechovice barracks in 1969, an autodrome was built on the military training area. In 1990 the training area was disbanded after the Red Army withdrew. On March 3, 1991, the place had no permanent residents; in the 2001 census, no one lived permanently in the 4 houses in Zbraněves either. The last building on the 11.7 hectare training area was demolished in 2012.
