history

Zanderyna in the book by Jan Długosz (1470–1480)

The place was first mentioned in 1356 as Zanderman, as the mayor of the village between the lay judges of the Supreme Court of German Law in Krakow. This suggests that the village was founded under King Władysław I. Ellenlang . The original name could be Suderman , later it was mentioned as Zedrman , Zandyrman , Zadrman , Zandrman , Zandermanow , Zyndyrman , Zandram , Zanderyna , Zerman , Sandman , Sandmann , Sanderman . According to Kazimierz Rymut , the name is derived from the personal name of German origin of the alleged first owner Sand (er) mann .

The place was on the most important trade route from Krakow through Bytom to Wroclaw , the Via Regia and belonged to the goods of Rabsztyn Castle , to the parish of Przeginia, politically to the Kingdom of Poland (from 1569 in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania ), Krakow Voivodeship , Proszowice district . During the third partition of Poland in 1795, Zederman became part of the Habsburg Empire . In the years 1807-1815 the village belonged to the Duchy of Warsaw , from 1815 to 1918 it became part of the Congress of Poland .

In 1918, after the end of the First World War , Zederman became part of Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . It then belonged to the General Government .

From 1975 to 1998 Zederman was part of the Katowice Voivodeship .
