The village of Ziegelberg is part of the Bad Grönenbach Kneipp spa in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria .

geography

Ziegelberg is located in Upper Swabia in the Danube-Iller region, about three kilometers south-east of Bad Grönenbach. The place is at an altitude of 737 m above sea level. NN and has 141 inhabitants (as of December 1, 2009).

Population development

history

Ziegelberg was first mentioned in 1460. In the land register of 1512, Ziegelberg is listed with one fiefdom and 9 own estates . The remains of an original Ice Age cattle were found near Ziegelberg in 1950.

Attractions

Two private houses from the 18th and 20th centuries are listed as historical monuments in the village. To the northeast of the village, in the nearby forest, there is a Latin stone cross from the 15th to 16th centuries from Nagelfluh .
