Rechberg is a wasteland of the Bad Grönenbach Kneipp spa in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria .

The desert Rechberg is about two kilometers west of Bad Grönenbach at an altitude of 713  m above sea level. NN and consists of different single houses, which are separated from each other. Rechberg borders the village of Rothenstein in the south and the wilderness of Rothmoos in the north. The so-called Rechberghaus stands directly above the banks of the Iller .

The subsoil of Rechberg consists of the undivided Upper Freshwater Molasse , which was formed in the Miocene with soils of clays , silt , marl , sand and partly gravel .

Geotopes

In the course of the Illerschleife directly below Rechberg there is an impact slope as a naturally created geotope with outcrops of layers of the Upper Freshwater Molasse. In the lower area they come from the Middle Miocene , in the middle from the Miocene and in the upper area from the Upper Pleistocene .

history

In 1512 Rechberg was first mentioned in the land register with a fief and an own property. The name Rechberg goes back to the gentlemen von Rechberg , who were wealthy there alongside the citizens of Memmingen and Kempten .
