History and infrastructure

The name is probably found as Zlemmer as early as the High Middle Ages. The word here refers to marly rock and its loamy soil, and is perhaps of Slavic origin. The Styrian Forest above also refers to the old possessions .

The Hohe Zlaim sports center with a small ski lift and natural toboggan run is located here. This facility is also known for the open air that has been held here for several years by the local Seer music group . There is also a riding stable.

Above it, the Grundlsee material ropeway , built in 1951, runs between the Wienern gypsum opencast mine and the Bad Aussee Rigips plant .
